We were inspired to build The Tree House by our passion for wood, thatch, Africa and the bush, and, being from the city of Pretoria, our weekend getaways to this beautiful valley is what has kept us alive, energised and able to carry on, going through life's ups and downs, sicknesses and healings, disappointments, losses, devastations as well as being our haven to celebrate and enjoy our hugest so long awaited blessing - our son, our precious friendships, our beloved daschunds, our achievements, greatest joys and enormous gifts.  The endless blue skies, the faithful mountains, our cherished cycads, every precious indigenous tree, the majestic wildlife and birds we are always so thrilled to encounter, our exhilarating hikes with views and friendships to die for, our sunset walks gasping with wonder every step of the way, the friendly townspeople, the wonderful memories of so many of the very best days of our lives,  will all remain in our hearts forever.
